Please join St. Vincent de Paul Juneau and the Juneau Reentry Coalition as we show the film “Anchorage Welcomes You” on Sunday, September 27th at 2:00pm at Gold Town Theater. The event is free to the public, but viewer discretion is advised.
For many inhabitants of Anchorage, Alaska, daily life is defined by homelessness, drug use and open wounds from early childhood. “Anchorage Welcomes You” is a collection of short stories in image form that weaves together individual stories to depict the shadow of contemporary USA in addition to showcasing how the human spirit can thrive and flourish even in the most challenging of circumstances.
