Juneau Is Invited To The JREC Reentry Simulation

Event: JREC Reentry Simulation
Date: Wednesday, January 29, 2025
Time: 4:00-6:00 pm (reception to follow)
Location Saint Ann’s Parish Hall; 430 5th Street (upstairs through the glass doors.)

What a Participant Does During a Reentry Simulation

A reentry simulation participant takes on the persona of an individual just released from incarceration. Reentry tasks are assigned to the participant, who completes tasks to stay in the community for the first four weeks after release. Completion of the tasks within the allotted time means reentry success.

A Reentry Simulation Timeline

The reentry participant spends a week in the community (15 minutes) working on their task list. Each week ends with time before your probation officer, a judge, in jail, or remaining in the community. The following week begins with instructions and comments from the simulation moderator. The simulation exercise takes about two hours.

Grab Your Friends And Join The Fun

A reentry simulation is fun and educational; the best way to experience it is with friends. So, grab some of your BFFs and join the Juneau Reentry Coalition on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
